Examination of Variables That Affect The Science Success of Eighth Grade Students By Ordinal Logistic Regression Method

The aim of this study was to investigate the factors affecting science success eighth-grade students using Ordinal Logistic Regression method. In study, information collected from a total 4224 students, 2202 (52.1%) male and 2022 (47.9%) female, who participated in ABIDE 2016 application used. scores obtained course entering were transformed into categorical ones according determined threshold values. analysis, score used as predicted variable, 15 variables that thought affect predictive variables. data later examined by As result examination, peer bullying, perceived self-efficiency, value given course, parental attention, family pressure, father’s educational status, mother's monthly income, having computer or tablet, room one's own, student's goal participation support courses. findings found be remarkably similar those literature.
